Abstract:
A generic type of thin-walled part is the key structural and functional element of an airborne electronic device. It is difficult to machine for weak rigidity and high accuracy. In this paper processability of its structure is analyzed first. Then advantages and disadvantages of a variety of machining methods are compared from accuracy and economy. Lastly the optimal process route is given just according to the characteristics of this kind of parts. And a series of measures are taken for critical processes. To solve the problems of local electroplated layer removing, a new way which makes uses of laser ablation to machine is put forward. Test results show that the indicators meet the actual requirements. This part has been used in an airborne electronic device.
