Abstract: Reliability of electronic equipment is one of its important characteristics. The application of modern protection technology will improve the reliability and operation life of equipment. To know the protection technology, this paper discusses four aspects involved in modern protection technology, and introduces its fundamental principle, measures of protection and methods of application etc. Furthermore, some helpful guiding principles and design methods are provided for practical design.
