Abstract:
It is not easy to cope with electromagnetic shielding, sealing and cooling all at once in designing electronic cabinet. Generally, there are some conflicts occurred in the three aspects, especially between the sealing and the cooling, and also between the shielding and the sealing. How to deal with this problem and to optimize structural design becomes a crucial problem in electromagnetic shielding structure design of cabinet. Design considerations for a radar's cabinet are described in this paper. Mainly shielding, sealing and cooling are taken into consideration. Some optimizations are applied to structural design for these aspects, so that shielding, sealing and cooling requirements are better met. By simulation and experimentation, structure design rationality is validated. Its successful design could give guidance and be used as instruction for similar capability cabinet.
