Abstract: The general theory of distributed sensing of the optical fiber Bragg grating ( FBG) and its research situation in damage identification are introduced in this paper．Meanwhile，the harmonic response analysis in one-dimensional direction when the simply-supported plate loaded with harmonic load is carried out with the finite element analysis software．According to the result of the theory strain distribution analysis，the distributed spacing of the FBG strain sensor is determined．
