Abstract: To verify some key technologies，it's required to design a scaled-prototype of large-sized VHF radar at the development stage．To minimize design and manufacturing time and cost，the design of another similar project is improved in this paper as per technology requirements and characteristics of the scaled-prototype by using the existing skeletons．To ensure the security of the prototype，wind-loads have been also checked according to the environmental conditions．Aiming at two construction solutions，fuzzy assessment is introduced to assist the final solution determination．
