Abstract:
In order to manufacture physical prototype rapidly for new radar products, the selective laser sintering (SLS), as a representative additive manufacturing technology, provides a new route. Combining with several typical radar product requirements, this paper analyses the actual applications of SLS technology, including SLS process analysis, direct manufacturing nonmetal verification parts and indirect manufacturing metal functional verification parts. Application results show that SLS technology can shorten the prototype development cycle effectively. Finally, the development trend and the main problems which restrict the application of SLS technology are pointed out to promote further application of SLS in radar products manufacturing.
