Abstract:
In order to meet the functional requirements of a radar system, a VHF/L dual-band array antenna is designed to realize dual-band shared-aperture, thereby to reduce the amount of radar equipment and reduce the size and weight of antenna. Designs of antenna framework, folding mechanism, radiation elements and its turnover mechanism are expatiated for the system requirements of dual-band antenna in this article. The wind resistance capability of antenna framework is analyzed by finite element simulation, and partial structure improvements are carried out based on the simulation results to reach the system requirements. The VHF/L dual-band shared-aperture antenna is compact and reliable, and provides some reference value for similar antenna structure design.
