Abstract:
Nowadays, the ultimate aim of thermal design on communication equipment is cutting down the junction temperature of chips. However, for communication terminal products, the junction temperature of chips are rarely considered by consumers. Instead, the subjective sensation of temperature on the device becomes the vital factor influencing the user experience. So, based on the sampled data from 10 volunteers, the subjective sensation with feeling index of the product shells with different materials and stuctures are quantified and the feeling index is used as a quantification standard to provide reference for subsequent product. Results indicate that the materials and structures of the shell and the component layout have strong influence on the feeling index.
