Abstract:
The mesosphere-stratosphere-troposphere (MST) radar is widely used in the field of atmospheric observation. However, the large size of the antenna array has brought great challenges to the antenna array layout, the antenna array infrastructure and the antenna array cable routing, which also limits the application of this type of radar. Based on the requirements of antenna array structure design of MST radar, a new antenna array layout scheme is proposed according to the environment characteristics of plateau area and the detailed design scheme of antenna field infrastructure and antenna array wiring is given in this paper. At the same time, an antenna unit which not only meets the electrical performance requirements, but also adapts to the plateau environment is designed. In addition, the rationality of the structure design is verified by the finite element mechanical simulation and analysis of the antenna element.
