Abstract:
The electron beam surfi-sculpt technology is a novel technology that can modify the surface of the materials. When it is applied to a liquid-cooling cold-plate, the surfi-sculpt array structure can effectively increase the heat dissipation area on the surface of the cold-plate and strengthen the flow disturbance,so this technology has great potential to improve the heat dissipation performance of cold-plate. The effect of different structure parameters and array spacing on heat dissipation is studied in this paper by experiment and numerical simulation. The results show that the heat dissipation performance of the electron beam surfi-sculpt cold-plate is improved more than 10% under the condition of high heat flux and low flow rate. The experimental and simulation results can be used to optimize the design of electron beam surfi-sculpt cold-plate.
