Abstract:
The mobile secondary surveillance radar with maneuverability is used to perform various temporary tasks for air traffic management. The radar with the full-size antenna and meeting the elevation mobility requirements is researched in this paper to solve the problems of low detection accuracy and low power of the mobile secondary surveillance radar with the small antenna. By studying the overall layout of the system and key structure design technologies of the miniaturized, light and intelligent antenna drive system and the high-rise lifting tower with high strength, and by optimizing wind load characteristics of the antenna, stable operation of the radar with full-size antenna is achieved when elevated, which can expand the application range of the mobile secondary radar. This paper can be used as a reference for the installation of large antenna radar on the high-rise lifting tower.
