Abstract:
Electronic equipment should be installed in different directions in different carriers because of the limited installation space in these carriers. So there must be a way to control the change of the inherent frequency of the isolator in different directions to ensure the performance and stability of the equipment. This paper introduces a method of designing multi-directional installation vibration isolator with hinge and elastic elements in axial and radial directions. Based on the analysis of the mechanical model of the isolator, the formula of its inherent frequency is deduced using energy method. This formula is verified by typical lateral test.In addition, comparing the input and output of the test shows that vibration decoupling is realized in three coordinate directions for the isolator. This formula of inherent frequency will be an effective reference for other similar designs.
