Abstract:
The structure style and design methods of the antenna radome used in the ship-borne and ground-based radars are summarized in this paper. Firstly, the function, classification and electrical design are introduced. Then several key technologies of the radome design such as structure style, material selection, load form and manufacturing process are described and the method of choosing the radome thickness in each layer at the typical wave band is researched in detail. After that, some new pattern antenna radomes seldom used at present but widely required in the future are introduced. Finally, the development trend of the antenna radome is discussed briefly.
