Measurement of Network Cable Coupling Attenuation Based on Absorbing Clamp Method

Coupling attenuation of network cable is becoming more and more important as the used frequency is increased.When using absorbing clamp method to measure the coupling attenuation of the network cable,the network cable is connected to the VNA by balun,so it is not easy for the network cable to be connected to the load,and the measure ment result is influenced by the characteristics of the component.This paper designed an absorbing clamp method measurement system,validated its system reliability,measured the coupling attenuation of screening category 6,unscreening category 5e and unscreening category 5.
