Study on Process of Space Inflatable Rigidizable Booms

Inflatable/rigidizable boom is the basic part of the space deployable structures．In this paper，we analyze the structure characteristics and the technology requirements of the 7 m-long inflatable/rigidizable boom，and study the material selection and manufacture method of the inflatable/rigidizable boom．A 7 m-long boom prototype is produced，which is applicable for the design requirements．
