Thermal Design and Optimization of Modular Plug-in Based on JVPX Connector

    • In order to simplify the design, shorten the research and development cycle and improve the compatibility, the modular design has been widely used in the plug-in design. With the increasing requirements of the radar for the data pipeline, adopting the JVPX connector is an effective technology to meet the requirements. Furthermore, the contact thermal resistance between the plug-in and cabinets has always been the key factor affecting the cooling of the plug-in. Based on liquid cooling chassis in the airborne environment, a convenient and reliable modular plug-in is designed in this paper, which adopts conduction cooling. And the contact thermal resistance is effectively reduced by filling the liquid metal between the contact surfaces.
