A New Type of Bracket to Install Spherical Phased Array T/R Module

A large number of T/R modules are installed in the large spherical phased array radar and the number of cables used is several times more than T/R modules, which results in high cost of radar manufacturing.In order to reduce the high cost of radar manufacturing, a new type of bracket to install the spherical phased array radar T/R module is designed and the new T/R module bracket is simulated by 3D software. The new bracket can solve the problems of complex installation and cable alignment of the spherical phased array radar T/R module and effectively reduce the structural processing cost and the cable cost. Therefore, it has great enlightenment significance for subsequent project implementation. In this paper the development status and the cost problem of the phased array radar are firstly introduced. Then the installation problems of the traditional T/R module bracket are described. After that the composition and advantages of the new T/R module bracket are presented. Lastly the development trends of the spherical phased array radar are discussed.
