Abstract
As a high performance composite material, the carbon fiber reinforced polymer(CFRP) has a higher specific strength & specific modulus and better vibration damping property compared with metal materials. It is more and more widely used in airborne electronic equipment. In this paper an airborne electronic CFRP frame is designed according to airborne environment conditions and a CFRP ply design method is proposed. Mechanical simulation analysis of the frame is carried out by ANSYS software. The failure index of the frame ply is calculated with ACP toolbox based on Tsai-Wu failure criterion. Thus the design method is well verified, which can guide the design of the similar electronic frame.
