    Study on Temperature Field Distribution Property of Large Frame Type Molds in Autoclave Process

    • The temperature uniformity of mold surface has an important effect on the molding accuracy of composite material parts. A large-size honeycomb sandwich plate with high flatness is manufactured by autoclave process and the mold is a large frame type mold. The finite element numerical simulation method and Simcenter12.0 software are used to analyze and simulate the temperature field characteristics of the large frame type mold for the autoclave molding. The error between the simulated value and the test value is less than 10%, which proves accuracy of the simulation method. The simulation results show that the temperature uniformity of mold surface is good and the effect of metal frames on the overall temperature field of mold is great. The effect of the mold position in the autoclave within the set range of 2.1 m in length direction on the mold temperature field can be ignored.
