Thermal Design and Verification of Antenna Array of a Phased Array Radar
-
Abstract
In order to solve the problem of heat dissipation of a high heat flux phased array radar antenna, forced ventilation cooling, high efficiency air to air heat exchanger and high heat conductivity heat pipes are used in the antenna thermal design, which satisfies the shell temperature requirements of the antenna array components. At the same time, when designing antenna array flow field, the internal and external airways are isolated and the inner circulating airway fans are sealed in parallel, which satisfies the shell temperature uniformity requirements of the antenna array components. Finally, the feasibility of the thermal design scheme is verified by the numerical simulation and the tower platform test.
