Structure Design of Lightweight Airborne Radar Based on Additive Manufacturing

    • With the development of the radar industry and the development of airborne radars towards high power and light weight, it is difficult to meet the multi-functional and lightweight design needs of the airborne radar structure with the traditional design method. To meet the heat dissipation, loading and weight requirements of an airborne radar with large launch power, long-standing standby time and strict weight requirements, the radar structure integrating heat dissipation function and loading function is designed first according to the interface requirement and heat dissipation requirement. Then the topology optimization is carried out and the optimized model is reconstructed. Finally, the lattice structure is designed and the lightweight and high-powered airborne radar structure that integrates the cooling duct and the loading structure is obtained. This radar structure meets the strength and heat dissipation requirements and its weight is lighter than the limit requirements, which provides a design idea for the lightweight design and integration design of the airborne radar.
